Éric Oliver

Mr. Éric Oliver has practiced litigation for nearly 20 years. He represents numerous real estate owners, condominium associations, developers, and builders throughout Quebec in all aspects that may affect their activities, whether in municipal, environmental, commercial, or contractual matters. Since 2015, Mr. Oliver has authored the booklet on Arbitration Rules for Municipal Contracts under Quebec Jurisdiction. The cases handled by Mr. Oliver and his team are regularly cited as developments of interest in real estate, municipal, and administrative law.


 He also represents small and medium-sized businesses or their shareholders in commercial disputes. In this capacity, he has developed extensive experience in injunctions, judicial review appeals, and demolition applications. Having begun his career as a student at a national firm specializing in employment law, he also has extensive experience in this area and regularly advises employers and senior executives.


 He regularly pleads before the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, and a multitude of administrative tribunals. His versatility allows him to tackle complex disputes involving several related areas of law and to adequately advise his clients in a multitude of areas related to all of their activities.

 Mr. Eric Oliver holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Montreal. In 2002, he obtained an introductory diploma in Chinese law from the University of Political Science and Law (Beijing) and completed, in the spring of 2007, a specialized graduate diploma (DESS) in North American common law at the University of Montreal. Mr. Oliver was called to the Quebec Bar in 2005, after completing his internship at the International Labour Office in Cairo, Egypt.
